With 10 years of experience as a social worker, Huda Adnan is an expert in her field having worked with several organizations such as
non-profits, schools, community health care, government sector and at a provincial
level.
In collaboration with Muslim Women of Durham region, Huda led our first in-person workshop on healing from trauma for women which was a success.

Dr. Kashmala Qasim PhD at York University in Psychology. She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology from the University of Toronto and completed a Masters in Neuroscience from McMaster University, with a focus on mental health and obesity.
She has also completed the Taleem ul Qu'ran Diploma course from Al Huda Institute. Kashma
Dr. Kashmala Qasim PhD at York University in Psychology. She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology from the University of Toronto and completed a Masters in Neuroscience from McMaster University, with a focus on mental health and obesity.
She has also completed the Taleem ul Qu'ran Diploma course from Al Huda Institute. Kashmala has been a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the Islamic Online University, and has also received Level 1 Pastoral Counselling training from the University of Toronto.
She has worked in a managerial capacity with Khalil Center. Kashmala’s dissertation involves conducting qualitative research studies looking at Muslim womens mental health. She is now working at the University of Toronto.
In collaboration with Muslim Women of Durham region, Kashmala led our first in-person workshop on mental health for youth which was a success.
